Get one on one instruction and answers to your questions from a top casting director. Tiffany will give expert advice on the business of acting and the art of auditioning, that every aspiring actor should know.


This class will cover, but is not limited to:

  • Audition etiquette & techniques for feature films

  • Demystifying the audition process

  • Scene adjustments and feedback

  • The differences between auditioning for theater and film/tv

  • The business of acting

  • Open forum Q & A


Students will be given an ‘audition side’ to prepare in advance.  Tiffany will discuss your audition material in the context of what you are auditioning for, and work with you on your scene. Scenes will be taped while you work so you can review your work after class.  


Parents are encouraged to attend the last 30 minutes for the Q & A portion of the class.

Tiffany Little Canfield

Tiffany Little Canfield is one of the busiest casting directors in the business, casting roles for Broadway, TV, film and commercials. 


After graduating from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Directing for the Theatre, Tiffany moved to New York City and started working in casting at The Telsey Office. Her first project was Baz Luhrmann’s production of Puccini’s La Boheme on Broadway. While working on La Boheme, she held auditions for opera singers all over the world and fell in love with the art of casting. 


Since then, she has worked on projects across all genres, including film, television, plays, musicals, commercials and video games. Some of her recent projects include the feature film versions of Wicked and The Color Purple and Disney’s live action feature The Little Mermaid. Some recent television series that she has cast include Only Murders In the Building and And Just Like That, Max’s newest chapter of the iconic series Sex and the City


Tiffany has been recognized by her peers with 5 Emmy Nominations for two seasons of Only Murders in the Building, This is Us, Fosse-Verdon and Grease Live. She was also the recipient of the prestigious Robert Altman Award for her work on the independent film Margin Call. She’s been nominated for over 20 Artios Awards for her work, winning for the feature film The Greatest Showman and independent film The Same Storm, directed by Peter Hedges. 


She serves on the board of the Casting Society, the premier global organization for casting directors and associate casting directors in film, television, theatre, and new media. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and a member of the Television Academy.
